Granblue Fantasy Relink arrives in 2022 for PS4 and PS5

Cygames announced during Granblue Fantasy Fes 2020 that Granblue Fantasy Relink will be released in 2022 for PS4 and PS5. The third-person action game had already been released in 2016 only for the past generation. Now, an enhanced version is also on the way to Sony's new console.

In addition, the studio reported that the title is in alpha and showed 23-minute gameplay of Granblue Fantasy Relink. In the video, it is clear that the game will have mechanics of hack and slash and RPG, with several skills and spells to fill the eyes.

Announced four years ago, the Cygames title was surrounded by several problems in its development and many fans were concerned that the game had been canceled. In January, the game director had already calmed players down due to a lack of information. The reason was the debut of another game in the franchise, Granblue Fantasy Versus.

Cygames was not the only developer that was part of the project. PlatinumGames, famous for Bayonetta and Nier: Automata, was also responsible for the game. However, in February 2019, the studio said it would no longer work on the Granblue Fantasy Relink after the contract was terminated.
