Diablo IV quarterly update brings a lot of gameplay news

Blizzard Entertainment announced the last 2020 quarterly update of Diablo IV with lots of news about the gameplay of the game. The information was on the following points: skill trees, primary statistics, types of weapons, item qualities and legendary affixes.

The game's chief designer, Joe Shely, said the studio plans to offer years of updates to players.
We are reaching the general depth somewhere between Diablo II and Diablo III. Our goal is to provide years of things to discover and countless ways to build a class.

So far, Diablo IV has no launch window.

Skill Tree

Based on community feedback since the last update to Diablo IV, the studio will increase the grouping of related skill points, so that players don't have to go to the tree to find skill updates for their buildings.
The ability to specialize again or reallocate your skills is difficult to balance. Like many of you, we want choices to be important and characters to be different from each other - not just a click away from being identical to everyone else. We also want to encourage players to try out different skills when they start playing and discover the right buildings for them. In Diablo IV, you will be able to reallocate your skills and passives.

Primary Statistics

Despite relying on items to improve primary stats, the developers want the focus on character progression to be on unlocked skills. For example, when you reach a specific requirement in your status, you can get bonuses for using a skill point.
Many of the 'nodes' in each class skill tree have additional effects if you meet specific primary statistics limits. You will get the baseline effect from these nodes when you spend the skill points to unlock them, but you need to get enough of the corresponding primary statistic and the bonus effect will be activated.

Weapon types

All different types of weapon classes will be reviewed in the latest update to Diablo IV. In addition, the game's engine has been worked on to make " weapons more real and physical ".
Wands should be faster than wooden quarters, and swords and clubs should do different things. We added weapon speeds and features inherent to all weapons in our latest internal test environment. In addition to speed, each type of weapon has an inherent physical characteristic. For shields, this is the block value, which means that any shield you find in the Sanctuary will have a block, in addition to any magic affixes you may have. As physical properties, these characteristics are consistent across weapons of the same type and cannot be modified.
