Cyberpunk 2077: more than 1 million players at launch break historic record!

After a long wait, Cyberpunk 2077 was officially launched, after having suffered several delays over the years. This was most likely one of the most anticipated games of the year (or even of the decade!), And the proof of that is in the numbers achieved on "day 1".

We only have concrete information about the numbers reached on Steam and on Twitch, where the numbers have broken historical records by a wide margin. On its launch day, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to reach over 1 million players simultaneously on Steam.

These numbers vaporized the previous record set by Fallout 4 in 2015, which reached a total of 472,962 players simultaneously.

In addition to the unbelievable numbers achieved on the Steam platform, Cyberpunk 2077 also managed to surprise everyone and everything in its presence on Twitch. So far, it has managed a total of 1.04 million users to watch streams simultaneously.

These numbers are simply incredible, especially considering that for now, Cyberpunk 2077 is a purely single-player game since its multiplayer mode will only be released in 2021. It will be interesting to see the numbers achieved on the other platforms and the number of sales.

Even so, with these first results, everything points to Cyberpunk 2077 becoming the biggest launch ever in the history of video games. After being originally revealed in 2012, it is guaranteed to justify almost a decade of development.

It is believed that Cyberpunk 2077 may try to bet on longevity similar to that of GTA V by launching new content regularly, keeping its fans constantly "hooked" to the game.
