Apple Buys Startup Monitoring Asthma Symptoms in Children

Apple has shown that it is very interested in delivering health resources. The Apple Watch Series 4, for example, has brought electrocardiogram and fall detection capabilities that have saved a person's life. To further expand these capabilities, according to CNBC, Apple bought a company called Tueo Health, which worked on an application that aims to help parents monitor their children's asthma symptoms while they are sleeping.

The company did not confirm the information, but one of the great evidence that the transaction actually took place is that the CEO and chief operating officer changed their workplace to Apple in their respective LinkedIn profiles at the end of the year past.

Apple CEO Tim Cook noted earlier this month that his company buys another business every few weeks, focusing on talent acquisition and intellectual property. It is unclear how much Apple paid for Tueo Health, but it is known that the startup was working on an application connected to breathing sensors to monitor asthma symptoms. In this case, if a child's breathing changed overnight, the application would alert their parents.
