If on the one hand the two smartphones, not exactly devoid of similarities with the V15 Pro presented a month ago, have made official the numerous rumors circulated in recent times and offered us a first taste of features that we could soon see more closely on the well more anticipated OnePlus 7, on the other hand you cannot ignore the other protagonist of the Vivo event: the renewed version of the Android skin that the Chinese brand has chosen to call Funtouch OS 9.

This new version of Vivo's Funtouch OS is based, as mentioned, on Android 9 Pie and although it was already on board the aforementioned V15 Pro, the manufacturer took the opportunity to point out the new features in this new update. According to reports during the event, Funtouch OS 9 brings as many as 72 new features, 55 optimizations of various details and a total of 263 UI improvements. All these numbers, according to Vivo, translate into an interface that is overall simpler and more beautiful, but at the same time also more smart and user-friendly, in other words, better from all points of view and more pleasant to use than the previous version.
The Chinese manufacturer has updated its operating system customization making it closer to the stylistic canons of Android 9 Pie, at least as far as colors are concerned, which Vivo defines as "soft and restrained" and which now see a clear predominance of white. In any case, the Funtouch OS 9 allows the user to customize the UI to their liking, changing themes, icon layout, adding rounded edges and dark modes. These innovations are also accompanied by a new collection of abstract backgrounds.
From now on, the Funtouch OS 9 will presumably be present on board all the new Vivo smartphones.
