But it seems that finally the wait has an end in sight. Thanks to the inevitable Jane Wong, we have now learned that the social network is already testing basic controls that will eventually be implemented in the videos.
These controls will be as basic as possible, allowing you to control which part of the video you want to play. This way, whenever you want to review a specific part of a video, you will not need to watch the whole video again. Interestingly, these features came with the release of IGTV, but never expanded to the rest of the platform.
Finally you will be able to control the videos on Instagram!
But, not everything is good news. At least in this first phase of testing, there is no indication that these controls will be implemented in the videos published in the Stories. Thus, it is possible that playback controls are a first step, exclusive to videos published outside the popular Instagram section.
As usual, there is no information yet regarding a possible global launch date for this feature. As with most of the novelties unveiled by Wong, you may arrive tomorrow ... or in a few weeks.

Although it took several years to consider implementing such a simple, yet so desired functionality. It is with good eyes that we see the arrival of the support for video controls. This new implementation will surely please many millions of users.
