Although the evolutions for the Snapdragon 710 are not many, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 brings us more possibilities and capacities. Firstly with QuickCharge 4+ quick loading and a 10% increase in performance compared to the previous model.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 promised a lot, however, few smartphones have brought the chip installed inside. In fact, apart from the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, only Nokia 8.1 and Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) have chosen to bring this processor to our market.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 does not change much against its predecessor
It is something strange because this processor gives us almost top-of-the-range performance, intelligence for AI and a price well below the top of the range Snapdragon 8xx.
That way, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 gives us basically the same as the previous model. We have a 10nm chip , Adreno 616 GPU, Snapdragon X15 LTE which gives us 800Mbps download speeds and 150Mbps upload.
Finally, we also have the same possibility at camera level. Manufacturers can choose sensors up to 20MP if it is dual camera or a camera up to 32MP.
Google Pixel 3 Lite can be the first with this processor
Rumors of Google Pixel 3 Lite begin to be more real. If until then the rumors said that we would have the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 inside, with this revelation things change of figure.
If the Google Pixel 3 Lite really is official and bring these processors, it may be that other manufacturers look more closely at this new chip. After all, it gives us a quality performance for smartphones in the 400 € to 500 €.
