MWC 2019 | HDM confirms Nokia 9 Pureview with 5 cameras and 3D photo system

One of the rumours last year was that Nokia would bet on a set of 5 rear cameras in its Nokia 9 Pureview. HDM Mobile opens the system with this configuration, officially presenting the device on Monday (25th) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The top of the line arrives with two sensors in RGB of 12 MP and other three monochrome, also with 12 MP, being one of these is the sensor of Time-to-Flight. This technology consists of calculating travel time of electromagnetic waves, allowing the device to differentiate different planes and create 3D images. All lenses created by Zeiss have aperture at f / 1.85.

Another manufacturer also participated in the production of the fivefold ensemble. Light, a company specializing in the design of this type of lens package, helped develop a chipset called Lux. It is responsible for connecting the hardware with 5 sensors to the 9 Pureview CPU. This is because the device arrives with the Snapdragon 845 still able to make only two cameras work at the same time.

The device has a system that combines details of several frames of the same image to produce the photo. That is, it captures multiple images in different light settings, aperture, exposure time and brings together the best parts of each image to provide the perfect photo. Still, it is possible that the user can save each of the photos in .raw format, with about 30 MB per file.

With this, according to Nokia, the Pureview 9 is able to receive 10 times more light than a smartphone equipped with a common 12 MP sensor.

With Time-to-Flight technology, the device can also be compatible with the GDepth system, which creates a three-dimensional effect in the images.

In addition to the cameras, the Nokia Pureview 9 also has a digital unlocking system and facial reader. It arrives with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and is water resistant. The screen features 5.99 inches with a 1080p OLED panel.

To power all this, there is a battery of 3.320 mAh, and the device already arrives with Android 9 Pie and USB-C input, without port exclusive to headphones. HDM Mobile, which markets Nokia handsets, will officially launch the handset in March at a price of $ 699, approximately $ 2,610.
