The MIUI development team today confirmed the imminent start of the development phase of MIUI 11 , the new version of one of the most popular ROMs by users. Over the years, the ROM has exceeded 300 million users worldwide, thanks to weekly updates that have been running for 402 weeks.
After the optimizations for the speed of MIUI 9 and the introduction of a full-screen interface of MIUI 10, the new ROM should bring an all-round optimization on the whole system, with a graphic restyling that gives an updated interface.
In recent days Lei Jun asked MIUI users what the expectations for the new version of the ROM were. Most users ask for a night mode, even more fluidity and new icons. Among the requests was a better design of the user interface and Lei Jun confirmed that the request is among the priorities of the development team.
The release of the first closed beta versions is expected by the end of spring, while the public versions should arrive approximately in July.
