A security specialist from the Pangu team shared a tweet that proves that they are working on a jailbreak of new Apple smartphones with the A12 Bionic processor:
Jailbreak has already been made on the 5.8-inch iPhone XS. 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max is very similar to a small model, so there should not be any problems with its jailbreaking.
Security specialists from Ali Security already released a demo with an untethered iOS 12 jailbreak, but it was installed on the iPhone X. The Pangu team was the first to crack the new A12 Bionic processor.
Typically, the Pangu team released their jailbreak tools publicly, but it is unlikely to be so in this case. Most likely, it is intended only to demonstrate the possibility of jailbreaking and the vulnerability of new smartphones Apple.
So far, public jailbreak of iOS 12 is unknown, but this does not mean that nobody is working on it. Hackers and experts have already switched their attention to iOS 12, so the output of a jailbreak tool is just a matter of time.
