We will have a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9 equipped with processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the "engine" presented in December 2017. This variant will go to the United States and China, two major global markets for mobile devices.
On the other hand, in Europe, we will have the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 + equipped with the new processor of the brand. It's called Exynos 9810 and was introduced in early 2018. The variant equipped with this engine will be the most popular in the world, reaching all markets with the exception of the two previously mentioned.
Now, as the foreign media tells us, in the figure of Sammobile, the version of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + equipped with the Exynos 9810 processor got a higher score in Geekbench tests. Well, Geekbench is a well-known test/benchmark platform. So far we have agreed.
Will we have a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9 faster than the other?
Now, what does this tell us and why do we see some publications conveying the misconception that one S9 will be faster than the other? It is extremely important to clarify this subject so as not to mislead the reader. Well, I know how tempting it is to resort to clickbait but it is nonetheless repudiating strategies. What foundation of truth exists in such a widespread fallacy? Let's look at the results of this model Samsung SM-G960F.
On paper, maybe. In practice both variants of the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be identical.
Note also that the model numbers SM-G960 and SM-G965 would be associated with the Samsung Galaxy S9 already during the past month. In fact, it was the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) of the United States, the agency for certification and regulation of telecommunications in North American soil.
In this way, we can already assume with a good degree of certainty that the SM-G960 and SM-G965 models refer to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +. Now, after we have seen the results (scoring) on the Geekbench of the S9 with the Exynos 9810 processor we can compare the results.
Missing differences between the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and the Exynos 9810
Even so, the lesson to be learned here is simple. If the numerical differences of the benchmark tests are extremely thin, the differences felt by the users will be zero. Any publication that says otherwise is a simple fallacy, whether you know it or not.In the above-mentioned tests, also performed on the same Geekbench platform, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (prototype), had a score of 2448 on the single core test . Has registered a total of 8454 multi-core test . Here it should be noted that the tested prototype was equipped with 6GB of RAM. On the other hand, it is believed that the S9 in its base version has 4GB of RAM, something that will influence these results.
In short, regardless of variants, both Samsung Galaxy S9 will be extremely fast. As their predecessors surprised us in 2017, I believe we will have another good surprise in 2018.
And you, do you guide yourself a lot by benchmarks or not?
Samsung galaxy is really surprising us in different ways.. But I don’t seems to understand this benchmark.. But thanks for the info sha
