Samsung Galaxy Note 8 receive new Android update

With Android Oreo 8.0 waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the best your users will receive, for now, is a security update. Do not get me wrong, the brand has once again made Android Oreo available for its Galaxy S8 and S8 +. However, it is likely that it will take a few weeks to reach Note 8.

Operating system upgrades remain a staple in the shoe for this brand. Focusing now on its Galaxy S9, the update for Android Oreo just now is that it is again spreading throughout Europe. Until then, a new monthly security update will arrive for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 device.

Every month, Google provides a new package with security updates. They are vulnerability fixes and performance optimizations. We also have the elimination of failures in the safety or equipment system. Now the new  February patch begins to arrive first in his native country.

However, as Sammobile advances, the update is coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in Italy, gradually spreading across Europe. This update of the Android system will arrive via OTA ( over the air ) so if you have one of these devices watch for the next notifications.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets Android update

The new Android update can be identified by the new firmware build (system software) with the number  N950FXXS3BRB3. This is the new file/build that is coming to the drives. Inside you'll have an overall security enhancement for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Something that is reaffirmed by  Samsung's changelog or official change list. It fixes several security holes, several vulnerabilities detected and deleted on the Android system.

This is the  February security patch

In addition, the  February patch also corrects a total of 16 vulnerabilities that particularly affected the Samsung system. It will also have the patch for Meltdown and Specter that have given a lot to talk about lately.

With the late arrival of the February security patch for Samsung's top tops, it is likely that the brand will wait for the  March patch in some regions. Incidentally, for some equipment, this will be the most likely scenario.

Either way, you can check the availability of this update manually. To do this go to Settings - Software updates - Manual installation.
