Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 and A8 + 2018 receive Android update

Two smartphones that have already hit the stores. Two mid-range high offers for the Android market. Primam for design, beauty and essentially for being so similar to the current tops of range, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +. They are the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8 +. Even its name bears several similarities with the top generation.

Their prices are around 500 € and although they are far from cheap, as the top segment scales in prices, € 500 ends up looking ... "less expensive". Anyway, today we are here to report the arrival of the first system software update (firmware) for both Android devices

Indeed, as I write these words is coming to the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8 + a new firmware package via OTA ( over the air ). Enough bringing news. This is an update with about 220MB in size and build number  A730FXXU1ARA6. In its interior, we mainly have a security enhancement for the entire Android system.

India was the first country to receive the new update but will not be the only one. The news is gradually reaching out to more countries around the globe. They will arrive in Europe in the space of days so if you have already bought a  Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8 +, get ready. The new Android system software will soon arrive.

This is the latest security package from Google, the  January patch . It fixes six serious vulnerabilities of the Android operating system. It also corrects 13 possible security holes in the software of the brand itself. It also provides a fix for some lapses found in the system software of these devices. Here, the changelog (official list of changes) does not specify exactly which bugs were fixed.

Safety. This is the essential premise of this update for Android. You can check your availability on your device under Settings - Software Updates. Within this menu, your smartphone will look for some available update. If it is already ready for distribution in our country/region, your download will start automatically.

Alternatively, you can expect it to arrive at your device. Once this happens you will receive an update notification available in your status bar. You should install this update as soon as possible since it will take care of the "shielding" of it. Please remember to charge the device with at least 50% charge before installing the new software.
