Survival shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) from the Korean company Bluehole Studio and Brendan Green, a former moderator-enthusiast, broke another world record. According to SteamSpy service, "The Battle of the King" became the best-selling game on the PC for the entire history of the platform's existence, "moving" even the cubic Minecraft with its circulation of 27.5 million (100 million including consoles). Phenomenal PUBG has bypassed this mark by more than 300 thousand copies.
Now the circulation of Battlegrounds exceeds 27.8 million copies sold, which is an absolute record for the PC. This indicator reached the game only six months after its debut in the "early access" Steam. And this, recall, while at the start of the development of the creators of the shooter did not bode him more than 300 thousand copies sold in the first year after the release.
This is the second absolute record set by PUBG. Prior to this, the "Royal Battle" set an almost unattainable bar for the number of simultaneous users on Steam, collecting more than 3.16 million players from monitors and significantly overtaking PC-gaming pillars like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This achievement helped also the platform from Valve to achieve a record online - on January 7 in the second half of the day the service was used by 18,528,722 people at the same time.
