iPhone SE 2 will be released in summer

iPhone SE 2

For several months, there has been talk about the fact that Apple is preparing a new entry-level smartphone. Presumably, we are talking about the heir of the popular iPhone SE. The novelty will receive support for wireless charging and will be released in May or June this year.
This was reported by Lucit Lin, a senior analyst at Digitimes. He also noted that to implement wireless charging, the back panel of the novelty will make glass. In this case, unlike the flagship models of this year, the iPhone SE 2 will not have a True Depth camera - and, accordingly, Face ID too.

Sources among Apple suppliers have not previously failed this analyst. This time they report that the mass production of a budget smartphone will begin in the second quarter of the year, and the release will be in May or June.
For the first time rumors about the continuation of the line of SE appeared in August last year. Then the publication Tekz24 reported that the iPhone SE 2 will be equipped with the A10 Fusion processor, 2 GB of operative and 32/128 GB of internal memory, as well as a battery for 1,700 mAh - slightly more than the first generation.
In November, the Chinese Economic Daily News published information that the Wistron plant in Bengaluru (India) will be responsible for the production of SE 2, where a part of the first generation iPhone SE is also assembled.
Apple did not update the iPhone SE with the release in March 2016. But a year later two new versions came out - with 32 and 128 GB of memory - in addition to the original 16 and 64 GB versions.
