Hackers run PlayStation 2 games directly on PlayStation 4

A group of hackers managed to create an emulation system that allows unlocked versions of  PlayStation 4 to play PlayStation 2  games

Unlocking is done with the older version (4.05) of the PS4 firmware, which gives a full access level to the machine software, including the ability to run files without the security encryption required for original games.

With this, it is possible to "unlock" the system for copies of PS2 games, using a method that makes the console fit this software into the official emulation system of PS2 games on PS4.

In the video above, you see an example of  Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 running on PS4. On YouTube, the technique is also demonstrated to run titles such as  Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or  Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Officially, Sony has a PS2 game reissue program on PS4, although the list of games is limited (there are about 67 titles), and there are few efforts to promote this feature.
