Developer explains how Kratos axe changes combat in God of War

This Game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in early 2018

One of the great changes of  God of War in relation to the previous titles of the series, the replacement of Blades of Chaos, traditional weapons of Kratos, by a new one magic axe promises to bring a new dynamics of combat to the game.

In an interview with Game Informer, developers of the title gave some more details on exactly how this change will affect the fighting of the game.

" It's a bit slower than in previous God of War games, but as fluid and as brutal as it ever was," designer  Jason McDonald of  Santa Monica Studio sold the publication.

In addition to the change in weaponry, the new third-person camera on the character's shoulder should also bring more proximity to combat - restricting Kratos' rear view.

PlayStation 4 4.05 firmware has been exploited, which can lead to jailbreak

With that, the expectation is that players have to pay more attention to the environment than in previous games, which promises to deliver more tackles.

We hope the player will think more about their surroundings, as Atreus can help him with combat and with enemies, " he explained. " We hope you have to make more quick decisions ."

God of War will be released exclusively for  PlayStation 4  in early 2018.
