Android Oreo 8.1 system images are now available

Do you have a Google Pixel, Google Pixel 2 or Nexus device? Do you want to use the latest version of the "green robot" operating system? So today you're in luck. If you do not feel like waiting for the distribution of news via OTA ( over the air ) you can simply download the official firmware (system software) here. It's time to have Android Oreo 8.1.

This new version (8.1), more than a simple increment, was released last December. Already the original version, the 8.0, would be distributed in August 2017. Inside you will find several new features. Several improvements in fluidity, safety, speed and stability. We also have a new tool, speed labels for Wi-Fi networks.

Now, with the new version - Android Oreo 8.1 - ready for any user of their Google Pixel and also for the Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X, the American technology has already made available the factory images. All this so that users can already start to enjoy the news.

Note that in the North American market the technology giant has upgraded to the firmware versions (system images) available for the devices linked to several of the American operators. An example that we rarely see in Portuguese lands and probably will not see so soon.

In fact, all users of Google Pixel 2 are already receiving (via OTA) the new Android Oreo 8.1 with the version (OPM2.171019.016). The same applies to the previously mentioned Nexus line devices, the Nexus 6P (OPM5.171019.014 (r9)) and also the Nexus 5X (OPM5.171019.014).

All of these devices have also received the latest  Google security patch , dated January 2018. So far this has only applied to non-carrier devices. However, today the US technology has decided to offer the units linked to the operators Verizon, Softbank and Telstra with the system images of the latest version of the operating system.
