The Sprint series returns with a new installment.
Atari has announced NeoSprint for PC and consoles.
This is a new installment in the Sprint series of racing games, originated in 1976 as a successor to Gran Trak 10. The last installment to keep the name was Championship Sprint in 1986, although this game received a post-apocalyptic version called Badlands in 1989.
The Costa Rican studio Headless Chicken will be in charge of updating the saga with a new release that jumps from 2D to isometric 3D.
It will feature multiplayer for up to eight players, as well as Campaign, Grand Prix, Obstacle Course, Time Trial modes, and a track editor with the option to share creations.
The game is currently in Atari VCS Early Access, but version 1.0 will make the leap to more platforms.
NeoSprint is in development for Atari VCS, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
