Aspyr Acknowledges Critical Bugs in Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection Online Infrastructure

This compilation of Pandemic Games' two Star Wars Battlefronts, originally released in 2004 and 2005 respectively, was released yesterday, March 14.

Aspyr has acknowledged that infrastructure issues have caused "incredibly high ping, matchmaking errors, crashes, and servers not showing up in the browser."

Steam reviews are currently "Extremely negative", with only 19% of the 4,057 reviews available, due to the large number of technical issues it has had at launch.

Despite the fact that almost 10,000 people were playing simultaneously on Steam during its launch (via SteamDB), many could not find a match as there were hardly any servers in the game's lists.

The developer assures that they are "working to correct these issues and increase the stability of the infrastructure."

Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
