The live-action Lilo & Stitch will feature yet another face from the 2000s Disney classic . Jason Scott Lee , who voices Nani 's love interest David , will make a brief appearance in the film as the manager of the Luau where Lilo 's older sister works.
In an interview for the Kyle Meredith With… podcast ( “Kyle Meredith With…” in direct translation), the actor responded to some public speculation about a possible participation in the film.
“I got a small role. They offered it to me and I said, 'Yes, absolutely! In any role'” , he explained. “I just wanted to be in it, so it was a cameo produced in three days, and I think it's going to be fun. I'm playing the manager of the Luau. I will be able to see the boy who is playing the character I voiced, David. And I'll see Lilo and Nani, the new people, the actors who play them. So it's going to be fun."
It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that the actor has been involved with a Disney live-action . In 2020 , Jason played the villain Bori Khan in Mulan , a film starring Liu Yifei.
In addition to Jason Scott Lee, Lilo & Stitch stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Kaipot Dudoit as David, Courtney B. Vance as Agent Bubbles and the return of Chris Sanders as the voice of the alien.
Already in the direction, we will have Dean DeBois, while the script for the adaptation is by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright.
The new live-action will premiere on Disney+ and does not have a scheduled release date.
