Intel has announced that its XeSS image upscaling technology is now supported in more than 50 different games and applications. Support is provided both in old games and the latest innovations. With proper development, XeSS is able to establish itself as a worthy competitor to other scaling technologies, including NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR.
Among the most notable game projects that support XeSS are Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Control. Recently, support for it also appeared in Diablo IV. Obviously, the addition of XeSS to AAA-class games shows the trust of developers in Intel and its technology to improve the user gaming experience.
Competition from XeSS is growing. For example, NVIDIA recently announced that more than 1 games have support for its DLSS 2 and DLSS 300 scaling technology. But the latest version of the technology, DLSS 3, can still be found in only a little more than 30 games. As for AMD, its FSR 1.0 scaling technology is supported by more than 200 games, and FSR 2.0 support is implemented in more than 100 games.
