iOS 16.0.2 is released to fix iPhone camera issue

iOS 16.0.2 has started to be distributed to fix various bugs found by users in recent days. Build 20A380 should arrive for all iOS 16 compatible devices, bringing a considerable list of improvements.

The main novelty is the end of the error that caused blurred photos. The camera could vibrate when using third-party apps such as social media and generate shaky images or videos on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

One of the most annoying and common bugs of the new iOS has also been fixed: the failure to use copy/paste. When transiting data between apps, a permission notice could pop up more often than expected.

Another fix was the black screen that appeared during device setup. This error was relatively common and forced users to start over from scratch.

Finally, Apple also claims to have solved a problem with the screen of the iPhone X , iPhone XR and iPhone 11 . In some cases, after repair, they did not generate the correct response to touch. VoiceOver also stopped being unavailable after rebooting, something that was difficult for people with visual impairments to use.

Not everything has been resolved yet

While many tweaks have been made, Apple still doesn't seem to have fixed all the flaws in the new iOS. One of the most annoying problems is the slow opening of the camera. Another recurring complaint is about the reduction in battery life, which seems to be related to the new features.

There are also reports of failures in calls initiated via CarPlay in which the sound was too low. Transferring files via AirDrop between contacts was not working very well.

To download the 16.0.2 update, you must go to the Settings app and search for "Software Update". If it still hasn't appeared for you, please wait a few more hours and try again later.

iOS 16.1 coming soon

iOS 16.0.1 was exclusive to the iPhone 14 line , as it fixed a problem related to the configuration of the new device. Apple recommended that owners apply the patch before using the device so as not to face difficulties in migrating data from the old to the new.

iOS 16.1 should be officially released in a few weeks. The second beta was released this week and featured the battery indicator resolution — the power tank didn't change with consumption throughout the day.

This update should also bring the battery charge percentage display for older devices that had not been covered. The iPhone XR , iPhone 11 , iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 mini should receive the indicator as soon as they migrate to Apple's new software.
