The company has expanded its range of proprietary Ryzen chips with six new models at once. They are positioned as an alternative to Intel Core i3 / i5 solutions and can provide a decent clock speed by the standards of their price category. In addition, the vendor announced the impending start of sales of the first gaming CPU with support for 3D V-Cache technology.
The quad-core Ryzen 3 4100 with eight threads of execution and a maximum clock speed of 4.0 GHz received 6 MB of "game" cache. The $99 new product is aimed at budget gaming assemblies to display images in Full HD resolution.
The Ryzen 5 4500 and 4600G models differ, first of all, in the presence of integrated graphics in the latter. In addition, the older version of the chip has a slightly higher frequency - 4.2 versus 4.1 GHz. The recommended price of new products equipped with 11 MB of L3 cache is $129 and $154, respectively.
The company also expanded the family of "five thousandth" chips. The younger Ryzen 5 5500 (6 cores / 12 threads) with 19 MB of cache memory and a frequency of up to 4.2 GHz with automatic overclocking, the manufacturer estimated at $ 159, and the more advanced Ryzen 5 5600 (35 MB, up to 4.4 GHz) - at $199. The series also joined the eight-core Ryzen 7 5700X, capable of overclocking to 4.6 GHz with a TDP of just 65 W - its RRP is $ 299.
All new items will go to retail on April 4, 2022. In addition, the company revealed the cost of the previously announced gaming Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 96 MB of cache on a separate chip. Its sales will start on April 20 at a price of $450.
