The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov , officially expressed condolences to the family of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov, who died during a "special operation to protect Donbass."
"I express my deep condolences to the family of Nurmagomed, a native of the Kulinsky district, a brave son of Dagestan. He showed courage because he was brought up that way and because he chose the difficult and noble path of defending the world."
This is the first time in the eight years of the war in Ukraine and three days of a full-scale invasion that the Russian Federation has recognized the loss of personnel.
According to the Ministry of Defense, as of 20:00 on February 26, the estimated losses of the enemy amounted to more than 3,000 people, tanks - about 100, armored combat vehicles - up to 5400, guns - 15, Buk air defense systems - 1, aircraft - 16, helicopters - 18.
