Norwegian Yohaug questioned the legality of the use of electronic socks of an American skier at the Olympics

Norwegian skier Teresa Johaug reacted to the statement of American Rosie Brennan that during the ski relay at the Beijing Olympics she used special insulated socks that work with batteries.

The attention of experts was attracted by an unusual bulge on Brennan's legs during the race, and after the relay, the American explained everything:

“I have a battery on my leg that warms my socks. Thanks to this, my toes do not freeze, ”Brennan quotes Expressen.

The new device surprised Norwegian Yohaug, who questioned whether it was in line with the rules:

“I didn't even know about this. Is it allowed at all? I don’t know what the rules are now, but before it was not allowed to use such devices. I don't own e-socks myself, so maybe I can just borrow some wool socks from Ödnes Veng? Yohaug said.

Later, the representative of the International Ski Federation Doris Cullen confirmed to Dagbladet that Rosie Brennan received permission to use such a device.
