DDR5-10000 is around the corner: G.Skill Trident Z5 RAM overclocked to 9560 MT/s

The day will come when the DDR5 memory overclocking record will not be set almost weekly, but not today, because professional overclocker lupin_no_musume is determined to set a new new generation memory overclocking record. And he succeeded.

Overclocking experiment conducted on an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 APEX motherboard using an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU with four physical cores and eight logical threads active and one 16GB G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-6000 RAM module.

With this configuration, he managed to increase the operating clock frequency of the memory module to 4779 MHz, which gives an effective operating speed of 9560 MT/s. This required increasing the timings to CL127-120-120-120-127. Liquid nitrogen was responsible for cooling the module.

Given the frequency of overclocking results that set world records for clock speeds and performance, we can assume that overclocking DDR5 to 10,000 MT/s is not far off.
