Android 13 will bring a virtual desktop feature for PC

Following the ability to run Windows in the new mobile OS, another interesting feature was discovered - “cloning” the workspace of a smartphone to a laptop or desktop. At the same time, we are not talking about simple screen duplication, but about the possibility of full-fledged work with mobile software on a PC.

According to the portal 9to5Google, the new version of the "green robot" will allow you to open applications running on Pixel on Windows, Mac or Linux computers. At the same time, on a PC with the Chrome OS operating system, the principle of interaction between devices will be different. Earlier this year, Google announced plans to add a feature to the Phone Hub tool on Chromebooks to stream apps from Pixel-series devices to a laptop.

According to the source, the tested “pixel” creates a full-fledged virtual desktop on the PC screen. A dialog box opens next to it, allowing you to select any of the messaging applications. In addition to the fact that the size of the virtual display can be changed, working in it does not affect the simultaneous use of other applications on the smartphone.

Support for any other programs displayed in the drop-down menu in the lower left corner of the screen is reported. Given that this is the first preview of Android 13, the implementation of the feature may end up looking different. Google itself has not yet made statements about the list of features of the release version of the new mobile OS.
