Shin Megami Tensei 5 has sold over 800,000 units

Shin Megami Tensei 5 was one of the great Nintendo Switch exclusives in 2021 and Atlus is pleased with the commercial success that the game managed to achieve in the first weeks of its life.

In a message shared on Famitsu, Atlus commented that Shin Megami Tensei 5 had a very good start and in addition to the good reception among critics, it was embraced by players, something especially important for a niche series.

To date, more than 800,000 Shin Megami Tensei 5 units have been sold worldwide, enough to make Atlus happy with this startup and eager to sell more units.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 was released on November 11th for Switch and in less than 2 months it has sold more than Shin Megami Tensei 4 has sold in two years. The previous game in the series, released in 2013 for the 3DS, sold 600,000 units in 2 years.

Given this, it's understandable that Atlus is happy with Shin Megami Tensei 5.
