Biostar confirms work on 700 series motherboards for Intel Raptor Lake

This year, Intel will introduce a new generation of Raptor Lake desktop processors, which is a kind of improvement on Alder Lake. It is known that they can get twice the number of energy efficient cores and a noticeably increased cache , as well as a digital linear voltage regulator to significantly reduce the consumption of the new line.

Biostar has registered with the Eurasian Economic Commission several motherboards for future processors, and they are based on both the Z790 and B760 chipsets. The company told VideoCardz that the 700 series motherboards are still in the planning stages and the models listed are not real, but the fact remains that Intel partners are working on new motherboards for Raptor Lake processors.

Notably, current Alder Lake motherboards can, in fact, support a future generation of Raptor Lake. This is indirectly confirmed by the processor socket, oriented to the use of processors with 1700/1800 pins, as well as the same controller for communicating the processor with the chipset, which was previously confirmed using the document in SATA-IO.
