Western Digital will soon update its family of client solid state drives, according to online sources. In particular, the flagship devices WD Black SN850X are being prepared for release.

We are talking about products of standard size M.2 2280. It is known that they provide for the use of the PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface. It will be based on 3D NAND flash memory microchips.
The new items will be located one step above the current WD Black SN850 drives, which provide information read speed up to 7000 MB / s and write speed up to 5300 MB / s. We are talking about the use of a new (or improved) controller, which will increase productivity.
In addition, Western Digital is reported to be releasing SN820 SSDs for the OEM segment. Solutions of the SN770 series are also being prepared for the announcement, but it is not yet clear how they will be positioned on the market.
Finally, it became known that Western Digital will release SN560 and SN740 products in M.2 2230 and M.2 2242 form factors. These devices will be targeted primarily at personal computer manufacturers.
