Compared to what happens in Windows computer models, Apple's lineup is not exactly complicated. But according to the latest rumors, this could get even simpler in 2022.
According to what was reported in recent days, Apple prepares to launch five new Macs for 2022. Among these we find a new and long-awaited iMac Pro with Apple Silicon.
MacBook and iMac Pro may be back in 2019
The arrival of a better Mac mini also seems certain, and there seems to be room for a line-in MacBook Pro. But another of the big highlights may be the redesigned MacBook (Air).
According to leaker Dylandkt, Apple can simplify the its line of notebook computers abandoning the MacBook Air name on these new models. This font says they may just be called 'MacBook'.
If you're aware of Apple's releases, you know that the Cupertino manufacturer has already had laptop computers under the name MacBook. This happened between 2012 and 2006 and between 2012 and 2017. These last ones, however, are not much missed as they are not really powerful machines.
Changes can also happen, according to this source, in the iMac. The 14, 5” inch iMac has been replaced by the 24” inches that we already have on the market. And the 27” inch version can also receive this new design and be called iMac Pro.
Also remember that the iMac Pro name will not be unique in the Apple estate. The manufacturer released a model in space gray with this name in the year 2015. We'll see if these suspicions are confirmed.
