The United States is ready to facilitate the emergence of enterprises of Taiwanese companies outside the island

US diplomatic representative to Taiwan Sandra Oudkirk expressed the US authorities' confidence in the need to maintain stability and peace in the region to ensure a continuous supply of semiconductor components. At the same time, she noted that it is necessary to simultaneously increase the production of chips in the United States and other countries.

As noted by the Nikkei Asian Review , at a press conference organized by the American Institute in Taiwan, the head of the US diplomatic mission late last week stressed the importance of diversifying the supply chain by involving other countries loyal to the US government.

Sandra Oudkirk also had to reassure Taiwanese suppliers in connection with the requirements of the US Department of Commerce, which called on semiconductor market participants to disclose information on production and supply volumes, as well as warehouse stocks. Companies are concerned that sharing sensitive information with US authorities would make them vulnerable to competitors. A spokesman for the US administration in Taiwan reassured the suppliers, recalling the voluntary procedure for providing information and citing the ability of the relevant US ministry to keep secrets. She also reaffirmed the determination of the US authorities to ensure peace and stability in Taiwan and the region as a whole.
