Samsung will update over 40 devices to Android 12: models and timing


Samsung has posted on the official forum a timeline for the release of a new version of the proprietary user interface One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 and a list of compatible devices. The rollout will begin this month, and the company plans to update more than 40 models of smartphones and tablets in total.


Until the end of November, owners of flagship smartphones Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra should receive updates to One UI 4.0 and Android 12. Recently Samsung announced that beta testing of the firmware for these gadgets has been completed, and all errors found will be fixed in the stable release.

The further schedule for the release of updates is as follows:

  • December 2021: Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3, S20 Ultra, S20 +, S10, Note20 Ultra, Note20, Z Fold2, Z Flip 5G
  • January 2022: Galaxy Fold, Z Flip, Note 10, Note 10+, S20 FE, S10 5G, S10, S10 +, S10e, A52s, A42 5G, Quantum2
  • February 2022: Galaxy Tab S7, Nab S7 +
  • April 2022: Galaxy A51 5G, Tab S7 FE, Tab S7 FE 5G, A90 5G, Tab S6, Tab S6 5G, Jump, A Quantum
  • May 2022: Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Tab Active3, A32, A31, A12, Buddy, Wibe5, Tab A7 (2020)
  • June 2022: Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
  • July 2022: Galaxy A21s, Xcover5, M12

It is important to note that Samsung deleted the post with this graph almost immediately, so it is possible that the list presented is not final and will be changed.
