The most successful game for the platform remains Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 38.74 million copies. What's more, thanks to the quarterly result, the arcade racing game became the best-selling in the history of the series, leaving behind Mario Kart Wii with 37.38 million.

In the top 10 most popular projects for the Nintendo Switch for the reporting period, there were no reshuffles. The ranking continues to close the fitness adventure Ring Fit Adventure:

  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 34.85 million copies (33.89 million);
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 25.71 million copies (24.77 million);
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 24.13 million (23.2 million)
  5. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield - 22.64 million copies (21.85 million);
  6. Super Mario Odyssey - 21.95 million copies (21.4 million);
  7. Super Mario Party - 16.48 million copies (15.72 million);
  8. Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee! - 13.83 million copies (13.57 million);
  9. Splatoon 2 - 12.68 million copies (12.45 million)
  10. Ring Fit Adventure - 12.21 million copies (11.26 million)

In addition, Nintendo has updated the sales figures for the latest Switch exclusives:

  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury - 7.45 million copies (6.68 million);
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - 3.6 million copies (new);
  • New Pokemon Snap - 2.19 million copies (2.07 million);
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush - 1.94 million (1.34 million)

In total, in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, 48.6 million copies of games for the Nintendo Switch were sold, and over the entire life cycle of the console - 683 million. Sales of the hybrid set-top box itself are estimated at 92.87 million systems.
