Magnit" began testing exoskeletons for work in warehouses

The retail chain will start using a portable exoskeleton weighing about 3 kg. The developers claim that its use allows you to evenly distribute the load on the employee's spine and reduce the risk of injury. It will be used to lift heavy loads. Presumably, the use of exoskeletons will improve working conditions and increase the personal performance of employees.

“The exoskeleton is no longer a suit of the future, but a reality. And we want to evaluate the development in the field. High physical activity requires additional support, so we are constantly looking for solutions to facilitate the processes and will replicate the best experience , ”said Fedor Pavlovsky, director of the Magnit chain for logistics.

The company believes that exoskeletons will compensate for about 20% of the load and improve performance by 10%. The timing of the testing has not been specified.
