At the Los Angeles auto show, Fisker unveiled the production version of the acclaimed Ocean SUV. Pilot production will begin this week, with full production scheduled for 2022. An interesting feature of the electric car is the swiveling central screen.
The electric car will be available in three versions: basic Ocean Sport, Ocean Ultra and Ocean Extreme. It is not yet known what the battery capacity of each SUV model will be, but, according to preliminary data, the sports equipment of an electric vehicle will allow it to cover about 400 kilometers without recharging. The most expensive Extreme version will have a cruising range of up to 560 km. It will also be equipped with a solar-powered roof, which, according to Fisker, could increase the range to more than 3,200 kilometers.
The Sport version will be able to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 6.6 seconds thanks to a 275 horsepower engine. In the twin-engine Ultra configuration, the power is twice as high - it can accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds, and the Extreme version - in 3.6 seconds.
Sustainability plays a big role for this electric vehicle. The interior of the Ocean cabin is made from recycled fishing nets, old T-shirts and renewed rubber. A prominent place in the cabin is occupied by a 17.1-inch touchscreen display, which can automatically switch to portrait or landscape orientation depending on the driver's needs at a particular moment. Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker likened this to using a smartphone, which is also rotated in the hands depending on the task at hand. True, this option is available only in the most expensive Extreme configuration.
Cars will start at $ 37,499 for the base trim. The Ultra version will cost $ 49,999, while the Ocean Extreme will cost $ 68,999.
