The new product supports 12-bit RAW shooting and 4K video at up to 120 FPS. Also, the smartphone is equipped with a switchable aperture (f / 2.0 or f / 4.0), which allows you to easily change the depth of field. The smartphone is equipped with an image processor BIONZ X for mobile and a new interface chip, which provides high speed and improved image quality.

The Xperia PRO-I is equipped with three cameras and a 3D iToF scene depth sensor. Optics with anti-reflective coating ZEISS Tessar are used. The main camera on the aforementioned 12MP Exmor RS sensor has wide-angle optics with an equivalent focal length of 24mm, while the other two, also 12MP, are equipped with 16mm ultra-wide-angle and 50mm standard lenses.

The smartphone supports 315-point phase detection AF, covering 90% of the frame, as well as advanced autofocus technologies, including real-time eye AF for humans and animals, real-time object tracking, 20fps continuous shooting with AF / AE as well as anti-distortion shutter for clearer capture of fast moving objects. In addition, the Xperia PRO-I has a dedicated shutter release button.

The Xperia PRO-I is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, has 12 GB of RAM and a 512 GB flash drive. There is also support for microSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 1 TB. In addition, the smartphone is equipped with High-Resolution Audio and High-Resolution Audio Wireless technologies through the LDAC codec for wireless connections, as well as DSEE Ultimate, which helps bring the playback quality closer to the High-Resolution Audio standard. It's important to note that the Xperia PRO-I also features a 3.5mm audio jack - a rarity for a modern flagship.

The Xperia PRO-I smartphone is equipped with Game Enhancer to enhance your gaming experience. Heat Suppression mode allows you to power the smartphone subsystems directly, bypassing battery charging, in order to reduce the heat load and keep it working for a long time. By the way, the battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh keeps the Xperia PRO-I working all day long. In just 30 minutes, you can charge the battery to 50% capacity using the included 30W XZQ-UC1 Charger. The smartphone is waterproof and dustproof according to the IP65 / 68 standard.

As part of its Road to Zero environmental plan, the company has reduced the use of plastic in packaging for Xperia smartphones by eliminating plastic components or replacing them with paper materials. The Xperia PRO-I is the company's first smartphone to use paper-only packaging instead of plastic.

In addition, for fans of mobile video blogging, the Vlog Monitor accessory was presented, which connects to the Xperia PRO-I and is equipped with a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16: 9, as well as a metal holder with buttons for shooting control.
