The servers of Roblox, one of the most popular gaming platforms, became unavailable on October 28. During this time, the developers published three messages, where they recognized the problems, but could not name the real reason for the shutdown.
The Roblox Corporation said the server crash was unrelated to recent partner promotions that could have put a heavy load on it. The company also noted that it is doing everything possible to restore access as soon as possible. But more than 60 hours after the crash, the game still doesn't work.
The latest announcement to date indicates that the reason is likely to be found in the servers themselves. The developers are sure that this is not related to a hacker attack or hacking.
Roblox has a monthly audience of over 200 million players. The project experienced a big jump in popularity during the pandemic, when young players turned their attention to a sandbox game with ample opportunities.
