Along with the OnePlus 9RT, the Chinese brand officially unveiled its new pair of TWS wireless headphones. It’s time to welcome the OnePlus Buds Z2 with some new features that users will appreciate.
The new OnePlus in-ear headphones excel by introducing active noise canceling technology that’s all the rage does in this niche market. It is a very satisfactory addition compared to the original model and without a big jump in its price, which is around the 40 €
.
As for the design, the new OnePlus Buds Z2 doesn’t bring big differences compared to the originals. An elongated stem persists as well as its silicone tips for greater comfort during prolonged use.
OnePlus Buds Z2 can reduce up to 67dB of noise
Without a doubt that the addition of the active cancellation of noise is the main new feature of the OnePlus Buds Z2. This technology was introduced by the brand in Buds Pro, but now migrates to the intermediate models of its audio offering.
Thanks to the transition to three microphones in each earpiece, the Buds Z2 can reduce up to 55dB of the surrounding noise. All so that the user can enjoy their favorite music without their surroundings disturbing that moment.
In addition, OnePlus Buds Z2 have a transparency mode. This mode will be particularly useful when the user wants to remain alert to his surroundings without having to remove the earphones from his ear.
Autonomy can amount to hours of play
A focal point of this type of product is its autonomy and here the Z2 Buds present satisfactory numbers. Indeed, OnePlus says that its new earphones may reach 27 hours of playback on a charge.
These values are achievable by adding your holster charge to the equation and without active noise cancellation. If we enable this feature, the overall longevity of these headsets drops to 27 hours.
It should be noted that each headset has a autonomy of 7 hours without noise cancellation. With this technology active, these values drop to 5 hours.
With regard to audio reproduction, the OnePlus Buds Z2 have drivers 19 mm and a latency of 67 ms. They use a Bluetooth 5.2 connection and are water resistant thanks to IP certification100.
Finally, it should be noted that the OnePlus Buds Z2 were announced in China for the equivalent of 67 €. They will be available in black and white from 38 October, however, there is still no information about of its international availability.
