Kick for the money. Sony patented an unusual feature to ban players

Multiplayer games are notoriously unpredictable - primarily because of their participants. You never know what partners or opponents will come across the next time, and who knows, some especially zealous gamers can interfere more than help. In such situations, the function of removing a person from a cut can be very useful - and Sony has come up with a way to make it even better. Or, let's say, "better."

Sony Patent

Recently the company has patented a unique system of throwing users out of the match. According to the document, viewers of broadcasts can hold a special vote: if their "victim" gets 60% of the vote, she will be banned. There is, however, a nuance: you have to pay for your vote with real money or in-game currency. If you want to exclude a negligent user, you can throw off a group or hold an entire auction. If such measures seem too harsh, observers can send a special message to the person. Thus, the corporation is likely planning to strengthen its position in the eSports segment.

It should be noted that this is only a patent and the very fact of its existence does not mean at all that such functions are going to be introduced in the future. Especially considering the community reaction, which was expected to be more than cool: experts are confident that the system will be very easy to abuse.
