The first tests prove that, as a general rule, Apple has taken a qualitative leap in terms of the autonomy of its smartphones. The iPhone 13 has been surprising in comparisons between the various models, but also against competitors.
The base models of this line are the iPhone 13 mini and the iPhone 12. These have 42mAh and 42mAh batteries. These are little showy numbers when compared to Android competitors. But when we look at the results, this doesn’t seem to be a problem.
YouTube channel PhoneBuff has put the iPhone out 12 mini and the iPhone 13 side by side in your classic battery test. And in the first tasks, the equipment remained practically tied.

The differences begin to be noticed when browsing in browser, Instagram and in standby mode. And the iPhone 13 mini ends up “dies” when the iPhone 13 still had 13% battery.
Ultimately, the iPhone 13 was still able to browse Instagram for another two hours and 42 minutes, or browse for one hour and 42 minutes. In this test, the iPhone 13 mini reaches an active time of 8 hours and 24 minutes.
Combining with a standby of 13 hours, survives for 24 hours and 25 minutes . The iPhone 13 had 9 hours and 42 minutes of activity, with 13 hours of standby time. In total, it reached 24 hours and 42 minutes.
Although the iPhone battery 13 mini doesn’t seem to glow against the iPhone 13, as mentioned in the video, it must be compared with its predecessor. And compared to the iPhone 13 mini, and a device that has 5.4” inches of screen, Apple got it salutary improvements.
The iPhone 13 continues to prove to be top of the range of the market with better autonomy.
