Social networks Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp messenger crashed. Users talked about it on Twitter. There are connection problems in both mobile applications and desktop (browser) versions of services.

Downdetector service recorded the failures. At the time of this writing, downdetector.com alone had more than 43 thousands of complaints about Facebook, more than 86 thousand – on Instagram, and the work of WhatsApp is dissatisfied 19 thousand users. It’s safe to say that the problem actually occurred for at least hundreds of thousands of users. Problems are observed all over the world, including Europe, USA, Russia and other regions.
The reason for the failure is still unknown. Facebook has not yet commented on the situation.
The last time Facebook had a major crash was in March 2021 of the year. At that time, users also complained about problems connecting to platforms. Presumably this happened due to some kind of problem with the servers.
