Android apps in Windows 11 will support multi-window mode

Screenshots showing the operation of one of the most anticipated features of Windows 11 - the launch of Android applications, have appeared on the network. Microsoft did not have time to prepare it for the OS release on October 5, so it was still not completely clear how it would work.

Android apps in Windows 11 will support multi-window mode

In the first image, you can see how the thumbnail of a vertical-oriented Android app is displayed. As you can see, the program itself is launched in a small floating window. Earlier it became known that the user will be able to resize and interact with these windows in the same way as with regular Windows applications.

The second screenshot is more interesting as it demonstrates the multitasking capabilities of Android applications. Two windows of the WeChat messenger are running on the computer at once. When you hover over the program icon in the taskbar, you can see the thumbnails of both programs and switch to the desired one. It is expected that the ability to work with Android applications in multi-window mode will speed up many functions.

Android apps in Windows 11 are known to support both touch and keyboard and mouse controls. Earlier, Microsoft announced that it will begin testing this feature in the coming months, and nothing has been said about the timing of its appearance in the stable build of the OS.
