YouTube is testing a new feature that allows users to download videos offline on their desktop browsers.
However, this feature already available for testing is reserved only for premium subscribers of the video platform.
Offline video download trial available until October
The new offline video download functionality is available for testing until October . So, if you are a premium subscriber, navigate to YouTube’s “Use New Experimental Features” page to have access to all available tests, which include this feature that we are aware of.
But pay attention , in addition to being reserved for subscribers of the video platform, this feature can only be used with the latest versions of Chrome, Edge or Opera browsers.

In the testing phase, the new feature provides videos in resolutions 720p, 480p, 480p and still 144for. Just select the chosen resolution in the Settings menu.
