WhatsApp will soon allow users to send emoji reactions to messages

Messengers such as Skype, Facebook Messenger and a number of others have long offered the ability to send reactions to messages of interlocutors  in the form of emoji . According to the WABetainfo blog, this feature will soon be available in WhatsApp's iOS and Android apps.

In addition, it is reported that the number of possible reactions to the message will be almost endless. Users will be able to select any symbol for this on the emoji panel. However, when the number of reactions exceeds 999, the user will see “999+” on the counter. Each participant in the chat will be able to see which of the interlocutors reacted to the message. WABetainfo shared a screenshot of the WhatsApp UI showing the new feature in action.

It is not yet known exactly when the new feature will be implemented in the messenger, but it is expected that it will appear in the beta version of WhatsApp in the near future.
