The Chinese company Xiaomi quietly released on the home market a new wireless charging station called Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand. The new product is a more powerful version of the Mi 80W released in May, provides wireless charging up to 100W and costs about $ 92.
The presented charging station largely repeats the previous model. At the same time, it offers more powerful wireless charging and comes in a black case with a gold accent, while the 80W version of the device comes in a white case with a silver accent. The charging design allows the smartphone to be placed both horizontally and vertically.
From the name it follows that the new product has a maximum output power of 100 watts, while the previous model produced only 80 watts. The package includes a proprietary 120W power supply and a 6A USB cable. Curiously, none of the existing Xiaomi products support 100W wireless charging.
The charging received it additional levels of protection, including overvoltage, low voltage, overheating, etc. The design has two coils and a dynamic cooler that works quite quietly. Since the device uses the Qi standard, it can be used to recharge almost any device that supports wireless charging. However, only the Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi Mix 4 support "ultra-fast wireless charging". According to Xiaomi, the Mi Mix 4 smartphone with a 4500 mAh battery and support for 50W wireless charging can be fully charged in 28 minutes using the new charging station.
