Thunderbolt 5 interface can get 80Gbps bandwidth

Gregory Bryant, executive vice president and general manager of Intel's client computing group, visited the company's research center in Israel. He decided to personally share his visit with the public, but by mistake posted a photo that is clearly not intended for the general public.

The fact is that one of the four photos captures the characteristics of the Thunderbolt 5 interface. Nothing is said about it, but the "80G PHY" technology used in USB-C is mentioned, which relies on pulse amplitude modulation PAM-3, which allows you to transfer 50% more information.

Gregory promptly deleted the photo, but fortunately for us and not fortunately for him, AnandTech managed to save and share everything with us.
