Samsung is working on 24GB DDR5 RAM chips

We all know that DDR5 RAM modules will significantly increase their volume and soon 16 GB will not be the norm for a standard gaming computer. Along with the release of Intel Alder Lake processors, a new standard for RAM will also be released, and chip manufacturers, in turn, are actively working on its implementation and popularization.

Samsung is working on 24GB DDR5 RAM chips

For example, Samsung announced that it is working on 24GB DDR5 RAM chips. This will allow the creation of 768 GB RAM modules. The use of sixteen of these modules allows you to achieve 12 TB of RAM, which is twice as much as modern Intel Xeon Ice Lake-SP server processors support .

Also, Samsung can start producing intermediate solutions of 96, 192 and 384 GB. Previously, the company has already reported on the establishment of a backend RAM 512 GB. In the consumer segment, 16GB modules will be hugely popular for a while, but they could be replaced by 24GB models that offer a 50% increase in volume.
