This week Microsoft released new build 22000.120 of Windows 11 to Insiders on Dev and Beta channels. Among other things, this assembly fixed a bug due to which the rounded corners of windows were displayed incorrectly when using a dark theme.
Many of the user interface elements of Windows 11 are based on WinUI 2.6 and WinUI 3, which makes them look more modern and consistent with the new operating system. Along with the new interface elements, the OS returned to the rounded corners of the windows, which could be seen in previous versions of the software platform and which disappeared with the release of Windows 8.
Rounded corners have even appeared in legacy applications and on pages such as Control Panel or Disk Management Tool. However, the rounded corners in Windows 11 have extra white pixels or artifacts that are especially visible when using a dark theme. This gives the impression that the corners are uneven.
In the aforementioned build, Microsoft has solved this problem and rounded corners are now displayed correctly, regardless of the selected skin. In a message on the Feedback Hub page, the developers confirmed a solution to the problem associated with the periodic appearance of white artifacts in the corners of windows in Windows 11. Note that the new version of the software platform is still at the testing stage, and it will become available to the general public this fall.
